Fund investments only
Belgian Growth Fund I is a fund of funds that will invest in funds and will not invest directly into portfolio companies.
Focus on scale-ups and growth
Belgian Growth Fund I invests in funds which provide later stage venture capital, growth and/or buy-out capital
Belgian angle
A portfolio fund will invest in companies based or significantly active in Belgium for an amount that is at least equal to 1.0X commitment of Belgian Growth Fund I.
Concentration
A fund investment shall not exceed the lower of:
✓ 15% of Belgian Growth Fund I’s total commitments,
✓ 30% of the committed capital of the portfolio fund.
Established teams
Belgian Growth Fund I prefers to invest in teams that have a joint and proven track record.
Minimum ticket
Belgian Growth Fund I will typically invest between EUR 15 and 25 million in an investee fund.
Diversified portfolio
Belgian Growth Fund I is sector agnostic and targets a diversified portfolio of 10-15 funds spread over different investment stages:
✓60-70% in later stage venture capital;
✓30-40% in growth and/or buy-out.
